Joachim Runkel

Joachim Runkel (born January 28, 1955 in Kirn ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is married and has three children.

education and profession

In 1973 he completed his Abitur at the modern language and mathematics and science grammar school in Kirn. He then studied energy and process engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and switched to main studies at the University of Hanover , where he completed his diploma. He is the founder and partner of Kerntechnik und Anlagendiagnostik Hannover GmbH, today Kerntech GmbH , in Barsinghausen .

politics

In 2003 Runkel became a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, where he was active in the environmental committee, the committee for economics, labor and the committee for science and culture. In 2008 he failed to move in again because he was defeated by the SPD candidate Heiner Bartling in his constituency . From 2002 to 2006 he was deputy district chairman of the CDU Schaumburg. Since September 2006, the Suthfeld member has been a member of the CDU state executive in Lower Saxony.
