Joachim Schroeder (filmmaker)

Joachim Schroeder (* 1964 ) is a German filmmaker.

He is the son of Dieter Schröder .

Schroeder studied at the University of California Los Angeles and at the LMU in Munich. He has been working as a freelance writer and director since 1992. Since 2005 he has also appeared as a producer.

In 1999 he founded Preview Production GbR in Munich . Claudio Schmid and Tobias Streck were added as additional partners. For fictional productions, Preview Enterprises GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2007 , to which Jürgen Kinateder also belongs. Since then, over a hundred TV reports, TV documentaries and documentaries have been produced.

In 2017, Schroeder's film Chosen and Excluded - The Hatred of Jews in Europe sparked discussions. At the same time, the documentation The Eternal Anti-Semite was created in 2017 . With the film Kill Me Today, Tomorrow I'm Sick! Schroeder and Streck were nominated at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2018 . The work was awarded the Silver Zenith in Montreal on September 3, 2018 in the "First Fiction Films Competition" category.
