Joachim von Bodelschwingh

Joachim von Bodelschwingh (* in the 16th century; † July 11, 1566 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Joachim von Bodelschwingh came from the Rhenish - Westphalian noble family von Bodelschwingh , which had its origins in the county of Mark and from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was the son of Gerd von Bodelschwingh zu Mengede (1487–1536, Drost zu Lünen) and his wife Katharina von Romberg zu Massen . His brother Ernst (1525-1603) succeeded his father Drost zu Lünen. On August 30, 1546 Joachim received a canonry in Munster and remained until his death canon in Muenster. He was also archdeacon at Winterswijk and pastor in Lüdinghausen and Heiden.
