Joanna Mytkowska

Joanna Mytkowska (* 1970 ) is a Polish curator , art critic and museum director.

life and work

Joanna Mytkowska studied at the University of Warsaw from 1988 to 1994 . She was commissioner for the Polish pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale (2005). Artur Żmijewski represented Poland. The Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie has been headed by Joanna Mytkowska since 2007.

For the Center Georges-Pompidou in Paris she organized the exhibitions Paweł Althamer (2006), The Magellanic Cloud (2007), and The Anxious (2008) and Promises of the Past (2010).

Joanna Mytkowska is a member of the selection committee for documenta 14 , which will take place in 2017.
