Joaquín Gómez (actor)

Joaquín Gómez Sáinz (mostly performed as Dan Barry , * 1940 in San Bartolome de Soba ) is a Spanish stuntman and actor .

Gómez was a successful weightlifter and wrestler who won titles in his home region of Cantabria and in his homeland. He ran a gym in Santander and was the editor of a magazine "Deporte y Salud". When he was living in the Canary Islands, he came to the film by Rolf Olsens there created The Last Ride to Santa Cruz , where he got a small role. In the following years he was able to establish himself mainly as a stuntman, occasionally as an actor in film. He often worked with Paul Naschy . Under the pseudonym Dan Barry , he starred in several films in the early 1980s, including Conan the Barbarian -inspired Tunka el guerrero . He later made a few appearances on series on Portuguese, Argentinian and Spanish television. Gómez was also active in the rental business .
