Al Oeste de Río Grande is not shown in the German speaking spaghetti westerns , almost ten years after the ebbing of the genre climax came. It is considered to be one of the worst films in the genre.
action
After the end of the civil war, disputes between former northern and southern nationals repeatedly lead to outbreaks of violence. When the trapper Alfredo Sanchez is trapped by a tree trunk and the nearby water slowly threatens to enclose him, his wife looks for help to free him and ends up between hostile groups and meets numerous remarkable people: hanging judges, lonely riders, unscrupulous people Bandits, Indian haters, bounty hunters.
criticism
The film can hardly be found, but is considered by fans to be one of the worst films ever produced in the spaghetti western genre.
Remarks
Director Zabalza was, according to many participants, a heavy alcoholic, but was also let down by the production company. Main actor Sambrell was able to save the film through his acquaintance with Sidney Ling , but not hide its weaknesses.
