Joaquín Reyes Chávez (born February 20, 1978 in Torreón , Coahuila ) is a retired Mexican soccer player who mostly played in midfield .

Life

Reyes began his career as a professional footballer in the 1999/00 season with the second division Real Sociedad de Zacatecas . In the summer of 2000 he moved to the first division club Santos Laguna , for whom he made his debut in the Primera División in a game played on July 20, 2000 at Puebla FC , which the Laguneros lost 2-1. His first goal in the top Mexican division came in the home game against Tecos de la UAG , which was won 3-1 and in which Reyes scored the goal at break of 2-1 in the 41st minute.
