Joba Chamberlain (* as Justin Louis Heath September 23, 1985 in Lincoln , Nebraska ) is an American baseball player who has been under contract with the Cleveland Indians in Major League Baseball since 2016 .

Career

Joba Chamberlain began his career as a baseball player on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln team , with which he won the College World Series for the first time in its history in 2005. In the 2006 MLB Draft , he was selected as the 41st player by the New York Yankees.

After he was not used in the minor leagues in 2006 , he played in the 2007 season with various Yankees farm teams. On August 7, 2007, he made his MLB debut in defeating the Toronto Blue Jays . His greatest success so far was winning the World Series 2009 , in which he was used in three games as a reliever (with a win in game 4).
