Jobenlargement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Job largement (work expansion ) is a strategy of work structuring in human resources .

An employee who was previously limited to one activity now carries out several different activities with the same level of requirements (see Requirements Identification ). One therefore speaks of a measure of horizontal restructuring as opposed to vertical restructuring (see Jobenrichment ). The aim of the job declaration is to enable any necessary recovery without having to stop work by changing the workload, and to avoid psychological and physical monotony, for example by changing from sitting to standing work.

A general example of job declaration in the purchasing area is to have an employee who previously only wrote orders obtain additional offers and update data.

In companies with a works council , Jobenlargement affects the rights and obligations of employee representation. If the job declaration results in additional burdens, for example due to changes in working hours, frequent changes between individual tasks or increased workload , a risk assessment is required according to the Occupational Safety and Health Act .
