Jobus Fincelius
Jobus Fincelius , also Hiob Fincel (* Weimar ; † after 1568 in Zwickau ) was a German humanist and doctor .
He studied in Erfurt , Jena and Wittenberg . In 1559 he became professor of philosophy in Jena, in 1562 professor and assistant at the medical faculty there. He worked as a physician in Weimar and in Zwickau in 1568. In 1556 Fincelius published the legend about the Pied Piper of Hameln as an early source .
