Jochen Karl Mehldau

Jochen Karl Mehldau (* 1934 ) is a German homeland researcher and genealogist .

Life

Jochen Karl Mehldau was born in 1934. He comes from Kassel . His mother comes from Erndtebrück and is related to Wittgenstein, where he lived from 1944 to 1953. He is a graduate engineer. He lives with his wife in Karlsruhe .

Act

Mehldau has dealt intensively with Wittgenstein's home and ancestral history. He cataloged a total of 150,000 people from Wittgenstein. The books Old Laaspher Families and their Houses originate from this work . House chronicles ~ 1600–1875 (2013) as well as house and family chronicles Banfetal (2015).

Since 1957 he has written numerous articles about Wittgenstein and its localities, most of which appeared in the Wittgenstein magazine of the Wittgensteiner Heimatverein.
