Joe Jeanette
Joe Jeanette (* 26. August 1879 in North Bergen , New Jersey , USA , as Jeremiah Jennette ; † 2. July 1958 ) was an American boxer in the heavyweight division .
Career
The standard boom completed a total of over 100 fights. He was 1.78 meters tall, which was pretty average for the heavyweight division at the time.
The robustly built Jeanette made its debut in 1904. He had to admit defeat in his first four fights.
Jeanette had a career of nearly 18 years. He was one of the best heavyweights of the time (although he never became world champion); which is why he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997 in the "Old Timers" category.
