Joerg Eyfferth
Joerg Eyfferth (born January 14, 1957 in Witzenhausen ) is a German artist and painter .
Life
Joerg Eyfferth was born in Witzenhausen in Northern Hesse. The parents were Jürgen Eyfferth and Krista Eyfferth (née Kratz). The father was a trained photolithographer and lived briefly in Hanau until the family settled in Frankfurt / Main. Joerg Eyfferth spent the first two years of his life in Frankfurt, after which the family moved to Hamburg for professional reasons. After leaving school, he trained as an electronics technician and then trained as a lithographer.
Eyfferth then worked in his father's company, from repro photography to lithography to manual proofing. He later took over the company; In the course of the associated modernization, he came into contact with electronic image processing.
Since 1982 Eyfferth has been intensively concerned with the further development of his painting skills and the autodidactic study of art history. Since 1993 he has been working as a freelance artist; he lives in Hanau . He has been exhibiting his works since 1994. In 1997 Eyfferth received the Cläre Roeder Münch Prize of the city of Hanau, endowed with DM 10,000, from the then Hanau Head of Culture, Klaus Remer. An exhibition in the museum of Schloss Philippsruhe was associated with this award. In the same year he took part in Art Cologne .

Painting style
Joerg Eyfferth deals with the still life . He reduces the composition to what is essential for him. Shiny, reflective surfaces and glass form the starting point for his picture arrangements. The objects shown appear against an undefined background. Joerg Eyfferth is interested in the refraction of light in its diverse colors and mirror surfaces with their distortions.

Since 1994, the work of Joerg Eyfferth has been shown in over 50 exhibitions, mostly in the Rhine-Main region, but also some in other federal states and abroad. In addition to a few group exhibitions, the majority of them took place as a solo exhibition.
