Johann Affenzeller

Johann (Hans) Affenzeller (born May 4, 1952 in Freistadt ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and legal adviser to the Chamber of Labor . He is married, has two grown children and lives in Freistadt.

Life

After compulsory school, Affenzeller trained as a skilled worker and later on the social academy of the Chamber of Labor. Hans Affenzeller's political career began in the Socialist Youth Free City. He was elected district chairman of the SPÖ Freistadt and represented the SPÖ from October 31, 1997 to 2015 as a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament .

From 1988 to 2005 he was Vice Mayor and until 2009 SPÖ parliamentary group chairman in Freistadt.

He was also President of the ASKÖ Mühlviertel for 18 years , and Michael Lindner was elected as his successor in 2019 .

Since 2009 he has also been the social spokesman for the social democratic parliamentary group in the Upper Austrian state parliament.
