Tonnerre de Zeus (German: Donner des Zeus) in Parc Astérix ( Plailly , Hauts-de-France , France ) is a wooden roller coaster manufactured by Custom Coasters International , which opened in 1997.

With a length of 1233 meters, it is the fourth longest wooden roller coaster in Europe. The roller coaster has a 30 m high lift hill and a descent into a tunnel as well as two helices .

In Greek mythology , Zeus is considered the king of the gods. He is also often viewed as a weather god who hurls lightning bolts at those who anger him. The track is on the edge of the Greek themed area of ​​the park. The station is designed as a temple in the Greek style. To the entrance, the path leads between the legs under a large Zeus statue.

Trains

Tonnerre de Zeus owns two trains from the manufacturer Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters with seven cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. When Tonnerre de Zeus opened there were two blue trains. New trains were installed for 2004. One train is blue and one red.
