Johann Büchel (politician)

Johann Büchel (born May 10, 1869 in Ruggell ; † May 16, 1930 ibid) was a Liechtenstein politician (VP).

biography

Johann Büchel was born in 1869 as the son of the veterinary surgeon Ulrich Büchel. He was a citizen of the Ruggell community and worked as a sticker, bricklayer and farmer. From 1906 to 1912 he was a member of the Ruggell municipal council. From 1921 to 1930 he was the community leader of Ruggell. He also sat for the People's Party (VP) from 1922 to 1926 as a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein and served as Vice President from 1922 to 1924.

Büchel was married and had eight children, seven sons and a daughter.
