Johann Christoph Bock

Johann Christoph Bock (* 1752 in Nuremberg ; † 1830 probably there) was a German engraver in Nuremberg.

Life

His father was the master of ceremonies (chief of protocol ) of the Nuremberg city ​​council . He was the older brother of the two Nuremberg engravers Christoph Wilhelm Bock (1755–1835) and Johann Carl Bock (1757–1843).

He worked closely with his brother Christoph Wilhelm, with whom he etched a series of 18 landscapes based on models by Burkhard Albrecht von Bemmel , a great-grandson of the Dutch painter Willem van Bemmel who died at the age of 13 .
