Johann Erer

Johann Erer (* in Heilbronn ; † 1503 in Heilbronn) was mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn from 1480 to 1495 .

Johann came from the Heilbronn patrician family Erer . He was the eldest son of the mayor Hans Erer the Younger and in 1477 a councilor and court member. In 1479 Johann Erer was mayor of Heilbronn. In 1490 he is mayor. Since 1483 Johann Erer was married to Margarete Schultheiß from Hall, whose father is, however, a Rothenburg. On January 14, 1481 Johann Erer received the imperial fiefdom Flein and Alt-Böckingen and Wimpfen. The second son of Hans Erer was Conrad Erer who also became mayor and died in 1539.

“Der Erer in Heilbronn” had the best economic and political relations with Hall and had a fortune of 2000 guilders in Hall. The income from the interest amounted to 90 guilders a year. Johann Erer dissolved his fortune in Hall in 1484.
