Live and act

family

Hans came from the patrician family Erer . He was the grandson of Heilbronn mayor Hans Erers the Elder and son of Speyr mayor Konrad Erer. Hans Erer the Younger and his wife Agnes, the daughter of Kunz Mangolts von Nördlingen, had five children: Agnes, Hans , Konrad , Elisabeth and Barbara. In 1444 he was raised to the rank of Junker as a councilor and judge .

Litigation

In legal disputes, Hans Erer the Younger seemed to have been in great demand. This is evident from numerous cases. In 1438, the mayors of Heilbronn Erer the Younger and Markart Merklin obtained a performance title for Heinrich von Remchingen against the Jewish citizen Fifel zu Heilbronn. In 1445, the mayors Nenninger and Erer the Younger decided in the legal dispute over compensation for use in favor of the Count of Leiningen. In 1453 the council also commissioned their mayor Erer the Younger with regard to a court of arbitration. In 1457, when Erhard von Utzlingen summoned the city of Heilbronn to the Franconian regional court, Hans Erer the Younger is also said to have been present. It was about a lawsuit by Erhard von Utzlingen against Heilbronn regarding the return of letters, which began in 1449 and continued until 1460. On April 16, 1468, Hans Erer prepared a claim for damages for the plaintiff Misner.

Other matters

Hans Erer the Younger is also mentioned in other legal matters. In 1448 Konrad von First had a note of mortgage against the Heilbronn mercenary Schwarzkrunz collected, which had been deposited with Mayor Erer the Younger. The debtor attacked the obligee's agents. First's creditor claimed damages. In 1452 Armbruster donated his property to Mr. Buwer because of the "great friendship" in the presence of the mayor Erer the Younger December 1465 the city of Ulm asked Hans Ayrer (Erer) the Younger how the Franciscan monastery in Heilbronn was reformed and how high the costs were.

Enfeoffment with Flein and Alt-Böckingen

On June 8, 1456, Hans Erer the Younger received the villages of Flein and Alt-Böckingen am Trappensee as an imperial fief . Until then, Ulrich Nenninger (since 1442) had been the bearer of the imperial fief over Flein and Alt-Böckingen. The enfeoffment was not only a sign of the importance of Hans Erer the Younger before the emperor, but also of his wealth and influence.

Representatives at imperial and city days

Hans Erer the Younger often represented the city of Heilbronn at diets and city days . In 1466 he was a representative at the Reichstag in Nuremberg and in 1471 at the Reichstag in Regensburg. In 1473 Hans Erer the Younger was mentioned at the City Council in Esslingen .
