Johann Ernst Hintz

Johann Ernst Hintz (born January 18, 1845 in Sibiu ; † November 2, 1920 there ) was a Transylvanian politician .

Life

Born as the son of a Chamber of Commerce secretary, Hintz studied law in Vienna and Sibiu after attending grammar school in Sibiu. During his studies in 1864 he became a member of the Vienna Academic Fraternity of Olympia . After completing his studies, he worked from 1861 as the municipal secretary in Kronstadt . In 1871 he got the law degree in Marosvásárhely . After further positions, including from 1878 as a municipal economic administrator, he became a magistrate in 1896. In 1896 he became a member of the Hungarian Reichstag for the city of Kronstadt in the Honigberg constituency . He was a member of the board of the Kronstadt men's choir and later became an honorary member . In 1905 he retired.
