Johann Filler

Johann Rupert Füller (born March 19, 1971 in Bruckmühl ) is professor at the Department of Strategic Management, Marketing and Tourism at the University of Innsbruck . The board of directors of the Munich innovation agency HYVE is a fellow at Harvard University .

Career

Füller completed a degree in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. He then obtained a Master in International Business and a Euro Certificate for Engineers. Johann Füller received his doctorate in marketing on the subject of Community Based Innovations - Virtual Integration of Online Consumer Groups into New Product Development with Hans Mühlbacher, LFU Innsbruck, and Eric von Hippel , MIT Sloan School of Management . His habilitation took place at the University of Innsbruck on the subject of Communities as a Source of Innovation - Towards a Theory of Innovation and Virtual Co-Creation Communities. Innovation 2.0 - From Fortified Castles to Open Bazars .

Act

Johann Füller researches customer behavior in online communities and the use of online communities for product development. As the founder and board member of HYVE, he advises companies on the development of customer-centered innovations as well as on crowdsourcing, innovation management and business excellence. He is also the founder and CEO of Hyve Innovation Community.

He gives talks and lectures on the topics of open innovation , innovation management and virtual customer integration in product development. Füller has also published articles and articles in the journals Harvard Business Manager , the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM), the Journal of Travel Research and Technovation, Marketing Science (MS), MIS Quarterly, Research Policy (RP ).

Research and development work focuses on online innovation communities, user-generated content, online branding, crowdsourcing, co-creation, creative consumer behavior and games with a purpose (GwaP). His research partners are Eric von Hippel , Kurt Matzler, Martin Spann and Gerard Tellis.
