Ferdinand Collmann
Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand Collmann (born October 9, 1762 in Berlin ; † August 28, 1837 there ) was a German painter and university professor.
Collmann was a student of Anton Graff . He was a member of the Prussian Academy of the Arts from 1821 to 1837 .
After initially studying theology, he went to Berlin in March 1787 to study at the academy. In 1789 he became a teacher at the drawing school, and in 1794 professor at the same. He traveled to Italy in 1804 , but returned to his chair in Berlin in the autumn of 1807.
