Johann Georg Lampert

Johann Georg Lampert (born December 1, 1882 in Götzis ; † December 17, 1943 in Hohenems ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ), farmer and timber merchant. From 1928 to 1932 and in 1934 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and a member of the Götzis municipal council.

Lampert first attended elementary school in his home town of Götzis and, after completing compulsory school, worked in his father's sawmill. Then he became a farmer. He was drafted into war service in World War I in 1914 and served on the Galician front until 1916 . After his return from the war, Lampert worked as a farmer, timber merchant and politician.

Politics and functions

As a member of the Feldkirch constituency, Lampert represented the Christian Social Party for the first time between April 2, 1928 and November 21, 1932 in the Vorarlberg state parliament. He was a member of the Legal Committee, from which he resigned in 1930, between 1928 and 1929 a member of the Energy Committee and from 1930 a member of the Economics Committee. On March 3, 1934, he replaced Lorenz Dür again as a member of the Feldkirch electoral district in the state parliament, to which he was a member until the state parliament was dissolved on November 13, 1934. Lampert was no longer a member of the subsequent state parliament, whose members had been appointed by the governor. Lampert was again a member of the Economics Committee in the 1934 session. In addition to his work in the Vorarlberg state parliament, Lampert was also involved in local politics, where he was a member of Götzis' municipal council from 1924 to 1938. He also worked in Götzis as a member of the local school council. Lampert was also a co-founder and member of the Götzis fruit growing association.

Private

Johann Georg Lampert was born the son of the sawmill owner Johann Paul Lampert (1849–1910) and his wife Elisabeth Ellensohn (1842–1923). He married Viktoria Tschegg (1880-1919) from Götzis on July 3, 1911 in Feldkirch and between 1912 and 1917 he had two daughters and a son. After the early death of his wife, Lampert married Katharina Lampert (1890–1973) in Götzis on November 24, 1919, with a daughter born in 1924 from his second marriage.
