Johann Georg Schiebel

Johann Georg Schiebel , also Johann George Schiebel , (born June 18, 1656 in Dresden , † May 2, 1684 in Radeburg ) was a German poet , philosopher and theologian .

Career

Johann Georg Schiebel was born in 1656 as the son of the elector's table and armory servant Johann Schiebel and his wife Margarete née Rübe. From 1674, Schiebel studied philosophy and theology in Wittenberg . Thanks to his excellent writings and disputations , he was awarded the title of Magister in September 1675 . On May 24, 1679 appointed him Johann Friedrich Scharff the imperial-winning poet .

After completing his studies, Johann Georg Schiebel was rector and cantor in Radeburg. On October 19, 1679 he married Dorothea Bergen, daughter of the Dresden court printer Melchior Bergen . The couple had two daughters together, Rahel Judith and Charlotte Hedwig. When he was only 28, Schiebel died of an intestinal obstruction.
