Johann Georg Vollmöller (born September 9, 1742 in Landenhausen near Lauterbach , † May 18, 1804 in Offenbach am Main ) was a German theologian , prince educator and court master , court preacher in Offenbach and writer .

Life

He attended the high school in Lauterbach. From 1761 to 1766 he studied theology at the University of Halle . From 1767 to 1770 he served as court master and educator of the future Prince Wolfgang Ernst II of Isenburg and Büdingen. From 1772 Johann Georg Vollmöller was pastor and later court preacher in Offenbach. In 1775 he made the acquaintance of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe , who was visiting his fiancée Lili Schönemann in Offenbach .

From 1775 Vollmöller emerged as the author of predominantly theological writings.
