Johann Gerhard Vrints von Treuenfeld (* 1611 ; † 1685 in Bremen ) was an imperial postmaster and imperial councilor in Bremen.

The Catholic family Vrints (de Silvesa) came from Spain . A branch of the family came to the Spanish Netherlands in the 16th century . Johann Gerhard Vrints von Treuenfeld was a postal administrator in Osnabrück . In 1655 he became postmaster in Bremen. He was postmaster of the Imperial Postal Service , which was associated with the Thurn und Taxis house as postmaster general . The postmaster had many a dispute with the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen regarding the various postal lines and the delimitation of the jurisdiction of the municipal and imperial post. The imperial post office was on Westerstrasse in Neustadt . There was also a Catholic chapel here. In 1679 Vrints also became imperial resident (envoy). In 1685 he was buried in the Catholic Church of St. Johann .

His successor as the imperial postmaster was initially his widow Ambrosina Maria geb. Booms († 1699), then his son Theobald Georg Vrints von Treuenfeld (1671–1745) and later his grandson Konrad Alexander Freiherr Vrints von Treuenfeld (1707–1780).
