Johann Giesen

Johann Giesen (born May 15, 1898 in Neukirchen-Vluyn ; † March 13, 1966 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending secondary school , he completed a teacher training course , which he passed in 1920 with the exam. From 1933 Giesen was a retail salesman and after the Second World War a wholesale salesman.

politics

From April 20, 1947 to June 17, 1950 Giesen was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 040 Moers-Süd. From February 1959 to May 1962 he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

From 1924 to 1927 he was a member of a conservative party on the community council of Neukirchen. From 1946 he was parliamentary group leader of the CDU in the council of the community Neukirchen-Vluyn.
