Johann Gottlieb Brucker
Johann Gottlieb Brucker (born February 18, 1770 in Cöpenick , † May 12, 1829 ) was a German medic .
Life
Johann Gottlieb Brucker became a company surgeon in the artillery corps and took part in the campaigns on the Rhine. In 1797 he completed his training at the Berlin Pepiniere , but suffered a protracted illness as a result of the campaigns of the fourth coalition war in 1806, which meant that he had to retire as a military doctor.
He returned to Berlin and became a doctor and surgeon. During the fighting in the War of Liberation in 1813, the number of wounded in Berlin rose so much that as a doctor he was solely responsible for organizing the military hospital.
In 1820 he was reappointed to the civil service and a member of the medical and surgical state examination commission, at the same time he was appointed chief medical officer .
In 1825 he gave up his practice for health reasons.
Honors
The king awarded him the Iron Cross on the White Ribbon .
