Johann Gottlieb Rose
Johann Gottlieb Stieg , also Stiege , (born November 2, 1742 in Kolberg , † April 24, 1806 ibid) was a German lawyer and Lord Mayor of Kolberg .
Stieg studied first theology and then law at the University of Halle . He entered the service of his hometown Kolberg in Western Pomerania , where he started as a secretary at the city court in 1770, then became a city court assessor, councilor ("Senator") and mayor of justice.
In 1794 he was elected Lord Mayor ("Dirigens") and at the same time became municipal district administrator . He held these offices until his death in 1806; his successor was the previous mayor of justice, Otto August Heinrich Dahlke .
