Johann Joseph Goetzl

Johann Joseph Goetzl , also Götzel, Götzl, (* around 1740 in Augsburg ; † after 1790 there) was a German sculptor and painter .

Life

Johann Joseph Goetzl was trained by the sculptor Johann (es) Schlupf in Augsburg from 1757 to 1761, received his master craftsman's certificate there in 1772 and was guild chairman in 1779 and 1781 (carver and painter). In self-experiments, he is said to have occupied himself with inventing a remedy against premature aging (see section literature).
