Johann Laurenz von Schiller

Baron Johann Laurenz von Schiller (* before 1724; † December 6, 1745 ) was a German nobleman and politician at the Cologne court of Clemens August .

From Schiller was 1724 by Karl VI. Elevated to the nobility and was first councilor at the court of the Electorate of Cologne . In 1732 he was made a baron and was appointed chief war commissioner. Later he became director of the electoral building industry and chief inspector of the electoral residences. He was subordinate to the Cologne court builders François de Cuvilliés the Elder and Michael Leveilly as well as the painter Stephan Laurenz de la Rocque .

In 1738 Schiller bought the Müggenhausen moated castle. He commissioned Michael Leveilly with the construction management for the repair of the castle.
