Johann Martin Flad
Johann Martin Flad (born January 7, 1831 in Undingen , † April 1, 1915 in Korntal ) was an Africa missionary.
Life
He was trained in St. Chrischona . Originally a member of the Basel Mission , he traveled to Ethiopia in 1855 and accompanied the missionary Johann Ludwig Krapf . From 1861 to 1915 he worked for the London Society for the Promotion of Christianity among the Falaschas . With other missionaries he founded a school in Avora near Gondar in 1856 and a mission station in Kohula near Jénda north of Lake Tana in 1861.
