Curt Pale

Curt Robert Blaß , also Curt Blass , (born December 28, 1881 in Leipzig , † 1972 ) was a German lawyer and librarian .

Life

He was the son of the secret medical councilor Conrad Blaß and his wife Thekla nee Rossberg. Ulrich Zwingli was one of his ancestors .

After visiting the Thomas School in Leipzig Curt Pale studied at the Universities of Geneva, Munich and Leipzig, where he 1919 Dr. jur. PhD. The subject of his dissertation was The Justification of Publishing Law . From 1906 to 1909 he worked as a trainee lawyer before going on extensive study trips abroad. In 1912 Curt Blass joined the library service as an assistant librarian. Immediately after the outbreak of World War I, he was called up for military service, which he performed mainly on the Western Front until 1918. When he returned to Leipzig, he took up a position as a librarian at the Imperial Court . In 1926 Curt Blass moved to Berlin , where he took over the management of the library of the Institute for Foreign Public Law and International Law .

In his spare time he also tried his hand at being a poet. In 1924 he published the novella Der Grund , in 1929 the volume Bianca and in 1944, together with his wife, the poetry volume Innere Melodie .

Curt Blaß married Johanna (Hanni) née Miller on June 10, 1916 in Leipzig. The marriage resulted in the children Hans Heinrich (* 1921), Ulrich (* 1924) and Cordula (* 1928).
