Johann Nepomuk Brockhoff (born April 7, 1757 in Essen ; † August 6, 1822 there ) was a German chancellery director, district and city court director and privy councilor .

Johann Nepomuk Brockhoff was the son of a princely-dining lawyer.

He completed school and professional training and was advocatus fisci et cannerale from 1785 to 1790 (advocate of the state, the public sector in matters of financial management). He carried the title Real Councilor between 1790 and 1793 and, as a result, from 1794 to 1803, when the Essen Abbey was dissolved , the title of Privy Councilor. He was the director of the princely government chancellery and after the dissolution of the foundation was taken over into Prussian services as a judge at the Essen regional court. From February 1, 1812, during the grand-ducal-Bergisch period, he was President of the Essen Tribunal. From 1815 he headed the Essen regional and municipal court, which took its place. On November 27, 1820 he was appointed district and city court director. He retired on July 1, 1822.
