Johann Neumann (politician)
Johann Neumann (born June 10, 1929 in Modriach ; † January 8, 2013 in Voitsberg ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) as well as a guest and farmer . Neumann was a member of the Styrian Landtag from 1957 to 1966 and a member of the National Council from 1966 to 1986 .
After eight classes in elementary school, Neumann attended an agricultural technical school and subsequently worked as a guest and farmer. He represented the ÖVP from 1957 to 1966 in the Styrian state parliament, worked as mayor in Modriach from 1960 and was chief district party chairman of the ÖVP Voitsberg from 1958 to 1980. He was a member of the National Council from March 30, 1966 to November 4, 1971, and on December 17, 1971, he was again a member of the National Council, of which he was a member until December 16, 1986.
