Johann Paul Müller (born November 30, 1869 in Strengelbach , Canton Aargau ; † May 9, 1929 there ) was a Swiss textile entrepreneur .

life and work

Müller was the son of the small textile industrialist and farmer Johann. After Müller had completed a bank apprenticeship in Zofingen , he had to work in his parents' yarn and cotton printing shop. As a result, he expanded this with a yarn bleaching plant and in 1892 with a dyeing plant. The products were exported to British India , Rear India , the Philippines and Turkey . Müller ran the business until 1917 and then opened a knitting and warp knitting mill with the associated sales of products under the name "Streba".

For health reasons, Müller had to limit his activities in 1927 and transferred the management of the company to his six sons, who converted them into a family company called "Johann Müller Aktiengesellschaft - Dyeing and Knitting". At this point in time, the company had 310 employees.
