Johann Riegler (born July 17, 1929 in Vienna ; † August 31, 2011 ) was an Austrian football player who played in midfield.
Career
Riegler began his football career at FC Vienna . In 1948 he moved to SK Rapid Wien , where he played from 1948 to 1958. During this time he was Austrian champion five times.
After three years with Rapids local rivals Austria Wien , he moved to France, where he played two seasons for RC Lens . After returning from France, he let his career fade away at SK Austria Klagenfurt .
Riegler was a member of the Austrian national team for the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland, but was not used there. He played a total of six international matches for Austria and scored one goal.
