Johann Sebastian Brumhard

Johann Sebastian Brumhard (* 1706 ; † November 1742 ) was a German pietist . He came from Coburg and was one of the three sons of the local administrator Johann Benedikt Brumhardt. He attended high school in Coburg and studied theology at the University of Jena . During his studies he had u. a. also contact to August Hermann Francke . So it was inevitable that he too approached Halle Pietism. After the death of his brother Ehrhard Johann Brumhard , he took over the leadership of the group of awakened students in Jena as a master's degree.
