Johann Seidel (lawyer)

Johann Seidel (* 1549 in Leipzig ; † August 16, 1604 ibid) was an Electoral Saxon lawyer and 1603 mayor of the city of Leipzig .

Career

Seidel studied law and became assessor of the Electoral Saxon Schöffenstuhl. In 1588 he became councilor in Leipzig, where he was appointed city judge in 1592 and builder in 1602. In 1603 he was mayor of the city of Leipzig.
