Johann Wetzel (theologian)

Johann Wetzel (born June 24, 1570 in Mögeln ; † June 19, 1641 ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the general diocese of Lüneburg-Celle .

Life

Wetzel completed his studies in theology, which he completed with a master's degree. He was a pastor in Sandersdorf, was appointed pastor at the Michaeliskirche in Lüneburg in 1610 and first pastor at the city ​​church of St. Marien in Celle and general superintendent of the general diocese of Lüneburg-Celle in 1621 .
