7 is the seventh studio album by the German medieval rock band In Extremo .
background
In addition to self-written works, 7 also contains old poems and pieces, such as Erdbeermund or Nightmare , which is a modified version of Der Auntmörder , a morality by Frank Wedekind . In contrast to its predecessor Sünder ohne Reins , which contained Rammstein bonds, 7 was rockier and more stylistically diverse. With the Davert dance and melancholy , the elements of the Middle Ages are clearly audible. Larynx singing can be heard at the beginning of the piece Sefardim .
reception
Michael Edele from Laut.de wrote that due to the diversity and use of different languages In Extremo “retained their style in a certain way, but the album sounds a bit aimless in its entirety and not always really conclusive.” He awarded three out of five stars .
