Johann Wildt (politician, 1913)

Johann Wildt (born March 18, 1913 in Zillingtal ; † October 8, 1983 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. Wildt was married and from 1949 to 1953 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Wildt was born the son of the farmer Johann Wildt and grew up with a native Croatian language. He attended elementary school in Zillingtal and the school brothers' grammar school in Vienna and the Burgenland lower secondary school in Mattersburg, although he broke off his education. He subsequently became a farmer and between 1932 and 1933 he graduated from the farm school in Nickelsdorf. For his ethnic group, Wildt worked as local chairman from 1932 and from 1933 as district chairman of the Croatian groups in the Eisenstadt and Mattersburg districts; from 1937 he was also a member of the board and from 1938 a deputy chairman of the Croatian Cultural Association. During the Second World War, he was appointed to the Wehrmacht between 1940 and 1945 . In 1966 Wildt was awarded the professional title of Economics Council.

Wildt joined the ÖVP in 1945 and from that year was also the local party leader of the ÖVP-Zillingtal. He also worked between 1945 and 1960 as regional chairman of the farmers' union and was also a local councilor in Zillingtal. Wildt represented the ÖVP between November 4, 1949 and March 19, 1953 in the Burgenland state parliament. From 1947 he was 2nd President of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture and worked as a deputy chairman in the Burgenland beet farmers' association.
