Johann Wilhelm von Broich (* unknown; † October 7, 1619 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Johann Wilhelm von Broich came from the Jülich noble family von Broich and was the son of Eberhard von Broich († between 1573 and 1591) and his wife Gertrud von Reven. His sister Lucia († 1627) was an abbess in the Vilich collegiate church (Bonn) .

Act

Johann Wilhelm asked with electoral pledge on 25 March 1598 to the Dompräbende of the late Canon Rotger von der Horst. There were several applications for this. First of all, the elector decided - in deviation from his acceptance - on April 13th for the applicant from Wittenhorst. But then he ordered on May 4, 1598 to Johann Wilhelm präbendieren once he has presented his nobility evidence. On May 20, he was sworn to the Broich , Witzelbach , Reven and Metternich families . This provided the required proof of nobility. On May 25, 1619 Johann Wilhelm was ordained a subdeacon .
