Life

Johann von Aschebrock came from the Westphalian noble family von der Dorneburg called Aschebrock. His exact ancestry has not been established. As a Cologne priest on August 17, 1512, he received the papal promise of a Münster cathedral priest , in whose possession he remained until his death or his resignation in 1526. So the benefices fell back to Heinrich von Guntersberg , who transferred them to Arnd von Raesfeld for an annual pension of 36 Rhenish gold guilders.
