Johanna Cornelia von Oeyen

Johanna Cornelia Freifrau von Oeyen (born July 15, 1740 ) was abbess of the Gnadental monastery in Neuss.

Life

She was a daughter of Johann Nicolaus Ernst Freiherr von Oeyen and Maria Elisabeth Domicella Beerens. Raised Catholic by her parents, she entered the Cistercian monastery of Gnadental on September 1, 1756 . When he was admitted to the monastery, the father paid a statute fee of 200 thalers for lessons in singing, 10 thalers to the novice master and 1/2 ohm of wine for the clothing . In the profession, the father paid an ohm of wine and also paid for the meals. Johanna Cornelia von Oeyen was later appointed abbess of the monastery.
