Johannes-Baptist Freyer

Johannes-Baptist Freyer (* 1953 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Freyer studied Roman Catholic theology . He became a member of the Order of the Franciscans (OFM) ( Cologne Franciscan Province of the Three Kings) and lived on the Apollinarisberg in Remagen . He teaches as a professor of the history of theology and Franciscan theology at the Pontifical University Antonianum in Rome . From 2005 to 2011 he was the rector of this university.
