Johannes Barra

Johannes Barra (* 1581 in Middelburg , † 1634 in London ), also known as Johann Bara or in English as John Bara , was a Dutch painter, glass painter and engraver.

Barra initially worked in Holland and later moved to London, where he died in 1634. Sometimes he called himself, sculptor et vitrearum imaginum pictor . Its creation time lies between 1598 and 1632. At that time Johannes Barra published numerous copperplate engravings which are similar to the works of Egidius Sadeler , but do not copy them.
