Johannes Carow (born April 7, 1996 in Mainz ) is a German chess player .
Life
Johannes Carow was a student at the Willigis-Gymnasium in Mainz and was the best in his Abitur class with a grade point average of 1.0.
successes
Carow celebrated his first national success by winning the German U16 Championship in 2012. In 2013 he was able to repeat the U18 title.
Carow has held the title of International Master (IM) since 2017 , and he fulfilled the required standards in 2012 in the Oberliga Südwest, at the Vienna Chess Open 2015 and at the Grenke Chess Open 2017 in Karlsruhe .
As a club player, Johannes Carow is active for Schachfreunde Heidesheim, with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Südwest for the 2019/20 season .
