Johannes Holl (hospital master)

Johannes Holl ( Brothers of the Order of the Holy Spirit ) (* before 1595, † after 1636) was the hospital master of the Kreuzherrenkloster in Memmingen in Upper Swabia . He was ordained a priest on December 23, 1595. During the plague in 1635, Father Johannes Holl stayed in Reichenhall , where he received a curate beneficiary . After the hospital master Georg Staiger died on August 13, 1635, a new election was held. Holl was called back to the Kreuzherrenkloster and elected as hospital master. Due to the looting of the monastery shortly before in the Thirty Years' War , he was difficult to persuade to take over the office. A short time later, he returned to Reichenhall under the pretext of arranging the affairs of his benefit. There he returned the title of hospital master in the spring of 1636 in front of a notary and several witnesses. The certificate was sent to the Kreuzherrenkloster in Memmingen.
