Johannes Valke

Johannes Valke (* around 1370 ; † August 1, 1433 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Johannes Valke came from the Münsterland knightly family Valke, whose seat was the Falkenhof in Rheine . He was the son of Bernhard Valke zu Rockel (1335-1398) and his wife Wibbeke von Keppel (1350-1377). She was an heir, so that the Weersche family came into the possession of the Valke family. On January 21, 1406, Johannes is documented as the canon of Münster. He owned the Archidiakonat to Northern churches and was on 24 April 1413 as archdeacon to Rorup also Vice Dominus . In this capacity he was representative of the sovereign. Bernhard , his brother, was also a canon in Münster.
